At GOLDCOAST medspa, we put our clients at ease by allowing them to ask questions about procedures or treatments. We know that clients can sometimes wonder what a treatment experience will be like, and our team works diligently to make every office visit and an exceptional one. Many of our new clients begin their time at GOLDCOAST medspa with a sense of curiosity and a list of good questions.

Have you ever wondered about a chemical peel treatment? You aren’t alone! Clients call us about this treatment often. Here are a few of their commonly asked questions, along with our answers.

Is a Chemical Peel Like a Facial I Get At My Local Salon?

No. Salon facials are great but are not the same as a chemical peel treatment in our office. A chemical peel will have better results than a more traditional salon facial.

Can a Chemical Peel Treat My Hyperpigmentation?

Yes! Chemical peels are excellent treatments for hyperpigmentation on the face or neck area. Our chemical peels have also demonstrated excellent results for other common skin conditions like acne and scarring.

Does a Chemical Peel Hurt?

We ensure our clients are comfortable during treatments.

What Can I Expect After Treatment?

Treatments are quicker than you may expect; our clients are typically done with their chemical peel within thirty minutes. When you head home, you will be instructed not to wash your face until the next day. This measure assures that the topical creams have fully absorbed in your skin and assure the best results. You may have some minor peeling or redness, but it will not be outrageous.

How Often Can I Have Chemical Peel Treatments Done?

Chemical peel treatments can be done every 3-4 weeks, but you do not have to adhere to that schedule.
